When you become a friend, you’re doing more than getting movie credits and perks. You’re helping bring films back to the big screen, restore the theatre, support independent filmmakers, and create a welcoming place for neighbors, students, artists, and movie lovers to gather all year long.

Every 2026 friendship directly supports the reopening and launch of the Mariemont Theatre—bringing films back to the big screen, restoring operations, and helping establish Cincinnati’s nonprofit home for independent film.

Beginning in 2027, Mariemont Theatre Friends will become the sustaining membership program supporting the theatre, the Cindependent Film Festival, youth programs, filmmaker education, artist development, and year-round community programming.

When you become a Friend, you're helping preserve a historic cinema, champion independent artists, invest in the next generation of filmmakers, and create a place where strangers become friends.

MEMBER EVENTS

Each year, members gather for Cindependence Day - a special celebration of movies, community, and the people helping keep independent film thriving in Cincinnati.

Cindependence Day is a members-only event previewing the annual festival lineup. This year it is August 1st, 2026 at 7pm EST at the Cincinnati Sports Club.

Starting in 2027 we will have an annual Members’ Gala. Planning is still underway for this special event.
